Waz’s Story
A severe brain injury took away Waz's independence, leaving him reliant on others. Although the nursing home provided care, it felt more like a prison to him. Each day blended into the next, serving as a painful reminder of the life he once had.
With the support of Ange from BrainLink, he dedicated countless hours to improving his situation. After 26 long years, his dreams finally came true when he moved into his own home.
My outlook on life has changed, I’ve met new people and heard their stories and when I hear what they have gone through I feel so appreciative for what I have. I feel very positive and happy staying here in a home with good people. I’m cheeky-the secret ‘get yourself a great Ange!
