A carer is a person who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend with a disability, an illness, or an older person in need of assistance.
Linking in with other carers can be a wonderful support. No one understands the highs and lows of the caring role better than someone in that role. Some of our carers have formed lifetime friendships from group activities where they have met other carers who understand what you are going through.
BrainLink is funded to deliver a Carer Support Program for individuals who care for someone with a brain injury or degenerative neurological condition. Our carer support team is equipped to guide you through your personal journey.
The program is free to join, and all activities are provided at no cost. Joining our program will not affect any government payments you may currently receive.
We support carers on their journey, with free services such as:
E.g. positive behavioural support, wellbeing classes.
Day outings and overnight retreats.
Meet and connect with other carers.
