Tell us about your role and how you will be supporting people living with brain injury.

I am working as a Support Coordinator for BrainLink's NDIS clients who have acquired a brain injury, or live with progressive neurological conditions.

I'll be alongside our clients as they implement their NDIS Plan, linking them to services they need to improve their functional capacity, independence and community participation.

What is it about BrainLink that inspired you to join the organisation?

I am aligned with organisations that create value and instil purpose with everything that they do. It's important to me to work with organisations that are open, transparent and trustworthy and BrainLink displays these values through the way it operates daily.

Tell us about your family and their role in supporting you to do what you do best.

I live with my partner Anthony and our two dogs, Beemo and Daisy. As a family unit, we are very aligned in hobbies and interests and this allows us to share family time more frequently than others. My family enables me to switch off so that I can recharge and sustain myself not only as a professional, but as a person too!

What are the significant personal qualities that you bring to the organisation?

Integrity and Empathy are the two key qualities that I bring to the organisation. I operate with accountability, honesty and reliability and pride myself on developing an identity of doing what I said I'd do.

How do you practice self-care to look after yourself when things get challenging?

I actively go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week and this is a great way for me to process anything challenging and release any frustrations of the day. I also love watching WWE and other professional wrestling shows - my favourite wrestlers at the moment are Penta and Chelsea Green. I also love to play host, have my family and friends over to my home over a meal and play some video or board games together.

Tell us a fun fact that your colleagues may not know about you.

I have been a professional gamer, competing and winning real money monthly in worldwide Guitar Hero competitions.

Do you have a favorite quote or saying?

Teamwork makes the dream work - John Maxwell, 2002.

How do you hope to make a difference at BrainLink?

I hope to make difficult things simpler for everyone at BrainLink. The NDIS journey can be confusing and full of administration and I aim to empower those around me to build their capacity in navigating the NDIS, their administration and organisational skills.
